Classic Rock and Roll

I use Rock and Roll lyrics as a lead in to my column. I started doing it accidently and had a near riot when I stopped one week. I am glued to the concept now.

Although I have written about new groups such as Scissor Sisters, my musicial tastes are locked into the 1970's and before. The only new music I tend to listen to is country. Country lyrics are often great lead ins for columns.

Business and Personal Finance

Business and personal finance will be a big topic for our page. I almost started the column as a personal finance version of Dear Abby but decided that too many of them exists. I wrote a column about one I particularly hate, titled "Bruce Williams is a big fat idiot." I found that no really knows whose Bruce is.

The Lexington Herald still runs his column on Saturdays. I am always tempted to write nasty letters to the editor (I did once) as I think his advice hurts people.
